Cristiano Ronaldo Reveals Why He Left Real Madrid For Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo shocked the footballing world when he parted ways with Real Madrid to make a €100m switch to Juventus in the summer of 2018.

The Portuguese superstar was instrumental in helping Los Blancos win 15 major titles – including an unbelievable tally of 4 Champions League trophies, along with 2 La Liga wins – leaving the Spanish capital club as its all-time leading goalscorer.

Despite being one of the best players in the history of Real Madrid, if not the best, Ronaldo departed from Spain rather unceremoniously, and he has now revealed the exact reason behind his move away from the Bernabeu.

The 33-year-old has finally admitted that club president Florentino Pérez was what drove him away from his dream club.

When asked if Zinedine Zidane’s resignation had anything to do with his own departure, Ronaldo replied: “My decision to leave was not based on his departure. That being the case, it’s one of those little things that made me feel a bit better in terms of what I thought of the situation at the club.”
